ClassBuddy is a calming, curriculum-aligned content hub that helps Alberta elementary educators easily find credible, well-organized resources by grade, topic, and learning type—so they can spend less time searching and more time teaching. Developed as an academic project, the brand pairs a gentle visual identity and friendly mascot with a strategy rooted in empathy, accessibility, and ease, responding to the growing demands of today’s classrooms.

During my logo design process, I focused on how to make the brand feel friendly, approachable, and supportive as soon as someone sees it. I decided to use a rabbit mascot to represent ClassBuddy's values, personality, and commitment to efficient resource discovery.

The rabbit mascot emphasizes efficiency while serving as a welcoming and friendly face of the brand.

Other design choices were also guided by the brand’s values and traits, such as calm, friendly, and supportive. This includes rounded, simple typography and smooth, curved shapes. The overall goal was to create a brand that felt gentle and approachable.

To further support the development of our app, I designed mascot illustrations of the rabbit. My intention was to create a sense of relatability and reflect actions teachers may perform, while maintaining a friendly, welcoming, and supportive image that guides the user through the app.
